After a trip to Thailand and Burma, one-time British stockbroker Julian Chichester became inspired to import beautifully made and reasonably priced teak furniture to the UK. Eventually, with the help of craftsmen in Vietnam, he began designing his own pieces, and today Julian Chichester has an established reputation for classically inspired, quality English furniture. The inspiration comes from great furniture designers from the 19th and 20th centuries, and it is then interpreted in a unique and contemporary way to create beautiful, timeless pieces.
In two of our signature suites—The Atelier and Suite Library—we have the Julian Chichester Klee Cabinet—a clean-lined cabinet with three push-open doors and two adjustable shelves. We also have his Felix bedside table in all of our rooms.
