Kris Lemsalu’s works are often composed of found and handmade materials, including animal pelts, clothing, and food, and are centered around ceramic objects, reflecting her training as a ceramist. The Emblem Collection owns only a small fragment that would usually be installed together with previously named components to simulate a place of action that corresponds with the artist's involvement in performances. In her ceramics, Lemsalu (b. 1985) combines animal and human-like shapes, creating new creatures that refer to shamanic or witchcraft objects in a contemporary (design) setting.
